Troubleshooting
Each problem below has one cause and one fix.
The shortcut does nothing
Another app owns the same combination. macOS gives the hotkey to the first app that registers it.
- Open Settings, tab General, and record a different shortcut.
- Or quit the other app, then restart FastRepo.
- The menu bar icon opens the panel while you decide.
The panel says the token is invalid or expired
The credential was revoked, or it expired. FastRepo asks to reconnect.
- Click Reconnect: the browser sign-in runs again and replaces the credential.
- Disconnect removes the credential from the Keychain, clears the local list, and brings the welcome window back.
A repository or an organisation is missing
This is an access question, and it has its own page: What FastRepo can see. Check the Coverage section first.
A new repository does not appear
FastRepo checks GitHub every minute and re-syncs on change, so a fresh repository arrives on its own. Sooner: type its name, the live search fetches it from GitHub as you type.
⇧Return opens nothing, or the wrong folder
⇧Return only knows the folders you told it about, one per repository, asked on first use.
- Hold ⌥ with ⇧Return to pick the folder again.
- A deleted clone is forgotten automatically; the next ⇧Return asks again.
- The editor it opens is set in Settings, tab General.
The list stops at 2500 repositories
The sync reads 25 pages of 100, sorted by push date, newest first. Above that number the oldest repositories drop out. Write to us if you hit this, we want to know.
Ask a human
Write to [email protected]. Include the Coverage lines and your macOS version. That is enough to answer most reports on the first reply.
